Private Label Rights are rights that apply to content that you have a right to use, publish and sell as if you were the author. You also have the right to modify the content to make it unique.

Webmasters used PLR content to increase the size of their online presence in order to attract more search engine traffic. They also use PLR to make their websites and blogs content rich in order to keep visitors on their site for longer.

The use of Private Label Rights is very similar to the way that newspapers use syndicated content from Press Agencies. In fact many PLR sites now exist to sell PLR content. However, there can be less editorial freedom with syndicated news content.

If you use PLR you need to be careful. First you need to check the quality of the content supplied. Some PLR content is very poor quality. Some is of a very high standard.

You also need to find out how many other webmasters are using the same content. The issue here is of duplicate content. If too many people publish the same content without making it unique there will be increased competition in the search engines. Additionally, there are theories that search engines penalise duplicate content. In other words, they treat duplicate content sites as being of lower quality than sites with original content.

For this reason many web publishers use software to turn articles into unique content by replacing words with synonyms. Other software is more sophisticated and re-writes complete phrases whilst maintaining the meaning of the content.

Good Private Label Rights content can enhance the quality of a site and is often available for very little money.

WordPress blogs are great in some respects but setting one up so that it looks appealing, delivers SEO benefits and gives you the navigation controls you need is a bit taxing because you need to go into all the code. And then it can go horribly wrong.

There’s someone I know who’s been down that route, got fed-up and made all the mistakes you can before eventually ending up with a blog that looks first class. She then did the logical thing: she re-traced her steps and documented what she did to go from horrible to sublime but this time without making all the howlers in the middle.

And it’s now available as an ebook.

Take a look at the site she created and compare it to the standard WordPress theme and you’ll see why this ebook is excellent value if you want your WordPress blog to look professional.

Rob Benwell was kind enough to send me a copy of his Niche Annihilation Method for review but due to other matters I’ve only just got round to reading it.

What’s the big deal? The Big Deal is $117,209 in a month which is a statistically significant amount in my humble opinion.

I like what Rob does: he’s one of those non-guru gurus who tells things as they are. But through slog, labour, effort and research he’s found some pretty effective ways of making money online.

The Niche Annihilation Method (boy that’s getting hard to type without a typo like “niche anihilation method“) (sorry - that is to catch search typos btw) is a step by step guide to selling stuff online using techniques that work. My favourite “take-aways” are the power of “Save a sale agents” and how to set them up effectively, and a sneaky way to use the Top Commentors function of some blogging software.

Rob made a name for himself when he first published “Blogging to the Bank” which became hugely popular due to its down to earth style and practicality. The Niche Annihilation Method looks set to repeat his first success. Why? Because if you follow the advice he gives you are unlikely not to succeed.
