Salcombe is a popular holiday resort in Devon, UK. The reason for writing about it here is simply to test out something on this blog. I do have a personal interest in Salcombe and in fact was down there last weekend enjoying the very high tides of Batson Creek and a good meal in Captain Flint’s, a hugely popular (deservedly so) restaurant situated right in the middle of Salcombe town that’s very good if you have children as I do.

As a regular visitor to the South Hams I’ve been toying with the idea of setting up a Salcombe information site but I’m aware that the market is saturated. So one critical issue is how easy it would be to get ranked well for “Salcombe” as a search term.

That is what I’m testing now.

One Response to “Salcombe”

  1. Sorry just read the rest of your blog…..I have been trying to get my site to appear under “Salcombe” for a long time…no luck. I have been going for almost a year and have never found myslef in the organic rankings…..I think unless you have Salcombe in the url you are stuffed. I never really believe that Google works as they say…..some of teh site sthat come up under Salcombe dont seem to have all that much relevance?
