So DealDotCom’s been around a short while now and there have been some interesting offers on it. But nothing really caught my eye until today when you can get SEO Elite for $97 via the DealDotCom site.

I’m not going to be getting out my wallet though because I already own SEO Elite. If I didn’t, I would buy it right now and save myself $70.

So the lesson is that DealDotCom does offer excellent value deals for really good products from time to time. Interestingly it doesn’t seem to be announcing them to people automatically, something that I would have thought was an obvious thing to do.

If you’ve not already signed up, do so now unless you are never going to spend any money on internet marketing products.  It’s a site that’s free to join and so far at least it doesn’t seem to be pushing deals very hard so you won’t get swamped with emails.

Final point on  Blogrush. I got a stinking email from one hardened cynic about this service. He was explaining how it was mathematically impossible for Blogrush to generate as much traffic as it promised.

But he misses the point. The numbers may be spurious (I haven’t bothered to do all the maths) but the process is valid. You do get traffic. It is free except to the extent that it takes up potential real estate on your web pages.  And it works. I have statistics to prove it.

If something promises 1 million free visitors, costs nothing and actually delivers only 10,000, it’s still a Good Thing.  You don’t need to wait for perfect solutions to your everyday problems.  Don’t let the best be the enemy of the good.

The first rule of any successful website is that you need traffic to make money.

And the first rule of getting traffic is that search engine traffic, which is free, is the best sort.

Bearing that in mind, it obviously matters deeply where your site ranks on Google and Yahoo etc. and any techniques you can use to boost your ranking will help you boost your income over time.

One proven way of boosting your ranking has been to use reciprocal linking between sites on the basis that the more links in to your site, the better. In this approach you exchange links with another site. But let’s face it, it’s not hard for a search engine to spot this! If I link to your site, the engine simply has to visit your site, poke about a bit and if it finds a link back to me it makes a note in its database but doesn’t add any ranking points to me or you.

However, there’s a new system available now that generates 3-way links. These boost your rankings but do not suffer from the disadvantages of 2-way / reciprocal links. The system has been designed intelligently. For example, you can set up different variants of your link text so that not all links back to your site are the same which makes them appear more natural. The basic process is that you link to a site that links to another site that links to you. This takes some organising which is why there is a charge for the service so the key question is, does it work well enough to justify the price for your business?

The results so far look impressive. Read the case studies here: 3 Way Linking System

First, what is DealDotCom? It’s a free-to-join membership website that will sell internet marketing products at a discount. People with internet marketing products will take them to DealDotCom and offer them at substantial discounts. DealDotCom will then offer these products to its membership and take a commission on all sales.

That commission will be shared with its affiliates who will make money on a 2-tier basis. If someone you refer to DealDotCom makes a purchase, you get 35% of the commission. If someone you referred to DealDotCom refers someone else to DealDotCom and they make a purchase, you get 15% of the commission.

So the key questions are: how much could you make and is it worth getting involved?

Let’s make an educated guess at some numbers.

Suppose a product sells for $30 instead of $67 and that the vendor offers a 50% commission. DealDotCom will make $15 a sale.

1st tier affiliates will make $5.25 and 2nd tier affiliates will make $2.25.

Assuming a conversion rate of 2% which is slightly above the norm but could be expected because of the steep discount, and assuming you have 200 people below you who you’ve referred, 50 at tier 1 and 150 at tier 2, how much money would you make?

Total sales to your downline would be 4 units: 2% of 200. 1 of these would make you $5.25. The other 3 would make you $6.75 (3 x $2.25). Total income therefore would be $12.

Now if DealDotCom intends to announce deals daily our estimate is that you would make around $4,300 a year in this situation. Not bad.

To achieve this sort of income you’ll need to do 2 things: sign up with DealDotCom which you can do via this link http://www.dealdotcom.com and start promoting it.

But let me also deal with the question of discounts. Why would a product vendor be prepared to offer such a big discount to DealDotCom?

The answer is because of DealDotCom’s distribution power. It is highly likely to be able to drive large amounts of sales because it is building a huge network of people in its database who are known to be interested in internet marketing products. Most internet marketing products are information products and hence the cost of delivery and production is effectively zero which means that all revenues are profits. All a product vendor has to do is consider how much revenue he/she is losing by not promoting via DealDotCom before deciding to make the site a promotional offer it can’t refuse.

And we all benefit because products then become available at lower prices.
